A Christmas Cloche Display

One year ago - I didn't even own a cloche! But after discovering Marty at "A Stroll Thru Life" and her wonderful cloche parties - I've become . . . well, let's not use the "A" word just in case my husband reads this post (hehehe). I've been looking forward to Marty's Holiday Cloche Party. I had the wonderful pleasure of meeting her this past October and she is just the sweetest thing. I tell ya - take her to a Dollar Tree store! WHOO HOO!!!!!! Thanks Marty for hosting this VERY fun party!

With no further ado - here we go!

Like I said - this is my first Christmas having cloche's to decorate.
So it is all brand new in the design of my home.
I just put a big group of them on the living room
coffee table, looked at them for a while and knew right
then what I wanted to fill them with.

These are my favorite Christmas Hummels.

"Ride Into Christmas" and "Letter to Santa"

With a little bling . . .

Keeping with the children's theme in this one,
I placed them on top of a vintage children's Christmas Carol
book I found this past summer.

It is dated 1942 and the illustrations are just wonderful!

I decided I would put my favorite little Nativity
on my Mom's pretty cake plate covered by a
very tall and slender cloche.

A pretty gold candle and some fun little cardinals
I picked up somewhere last year.
These are significant to me this year because
I got to see my very first LIVE Cardinal when I was
visiting my Dear Sally in Michigan a few weeks ago.

Just another pretty candle. With a little bling to sparkle it up.

This was my very first cloche. I found it at my
favorite antique store!

On to the Dining Room. I only have one in here.

My shabby little chicken wire cloche.
I've placed it on the sideboard . . .
I LOVE it with all the pink ornaments!

I love the way it reflects in the mirror . . .

Now I know you have LOTS of other places to visit - so scoot on along and I'll join you somewhere along the way!

Enjoy!

OMG GIRL!
You've been busy and it shows!! Everything looks just stunning! Your tree is beautiful, the cloches with the hummels, I just so love that and that chicken wire cloche with the pink ornaments is so shabby chic and girly! I did see snowflakes today but they didn't last. I still have to go get a tree, we're going on Saturday. Dan and I cut one at a nearby tree farm, maybe there will be snow by then! Again, fabulous job!!! Hugs, Cindy

It's hard to give a comment because everything is just so beautiful. I think I like the chicken wire cloche the best and the 'bling' things. Your blog gives me so many ideas but I didn't even start with the 'Doors of Welcome' yet. My children are in the middle of exams which makes it difficult to run around with Christmas stuff... I hope I get ready in time.

HI!!!
You did an amazing job on your first cloche party!!! I did not think I owned one til I found out it can be an apothecary jar as well, so I hope to join in on the next one!!!! It is so cool what you displayed, things that mean so much to you!!!!
I like the pink wire one as well, very unusual!!!

Oh my goodness! I found your blog from a link on another blog and was sitting here enjoying your beautiful cloches and decorations when my heart skipped a beat when I saw your Child's Book of Christmas Carols! I had that book when I was little--no I'm not a child of the 1940's. LOL! I was born in 1961 and I have no idea where my book came from, but I can remember sitting and looking at the beautiful pictures and the gold cover and singing the songs inside as my mother taught them to me. At some point in time the book disappeared and I've always wanted to find it again, but I didn't remember the title--just what it looked like and now I know what title to search for! Thank you for posting that picture! You've made my day!

Karen, How fun! And I'm tickled pink I found you via Hallie at whatnowhallie.blogspot.com because I can tell we are kindred spirits. I've got the same things you've shown here... right down to the same wonderful Christmas book and the Hummels and so much more. Used to live in So Cal (where by the way I was a jeweler and so many of my days were diamonds!) but now transplanted to the rural Pacific Northwest. Thanks for a peek at your world- I'll stop again often!
