A Little Bit of Christmas . . .

Happy Monday! It's RAINING! Thank the Lord - because we need the rain so very badly!

My friend Sally in Michigan asked me to send her some pictures of our home decorated for Christmas. So I strolled around the house last night for an hour, from dusk to dark and took some photos. Enjoy!

Come on in - grab a cup of something warm and smooth before we explore a few rooms . . .

Love my Christmas platter . . .

The kitchen . . .

From the walkway between family room and kitchen looking at dinette.
(pardon my slippers . . . )
I made the garland atop the cookbook shelves
when I worked at the designers.
Still need to somehow hide the coffeemaker cord . . .

Someone snuck into this one!

From the kitchen dinette looking into the family room

Miss Jorja just had to get into a few of the shots . . .

Family room mantle . . . very different from years past.
Usually garland and white lights. Not this year!

This is on the f/r coffee table. Love my arrangement!

Hope you enjoyed my "Little bit of Christmas . . . "
Off to the market. I know - I'm strange - I love shopping in the rain! :)

Have a great day!

XOXOXO

Hey Karen,
My dear it all looks so gorgeous! I so love that tea cart with the tree on top and the mantle looks so festive and homey! It seems so weird to look out those windows and see green grass in December! Hey, we have a Winter Storm Watch with 6-12 inches possible Tuesday to Wednesday eve. Now that will give us a white Christmas! Well dear, your decor is super! You done good girl! Come see my tree story when you can! Hugs, Cindy

Karen, I love your kitchen! Your tea cart is wonderful! I love the way you've decorated it, with warm gingerbread people and country style flair! I really like the trees on the mantle...I might switch mine! Once I finish decorating, I''m always on the look-out for finding a better way to display...it can be never ending!

I also took a peek at your cloches from the party the other day...they are lovely! I don't have any, but I do so enjoy looking at others, and I love what you did with yours...beautiful!

Hard to imagine that it won't be long before we're thinking of taking it all down...:(((

God bless!

It's been raining here all day. Until it lets up, Robert won't be able to come back and finish my 8 foot fence. Your house is w-a-y farther along on the holiday scale than mine. I just don't seem to be getting around to things as quickly this year. Loved the tour!

Karen, your home looks so pretty. If you put an extension cord on the coffee pot...you could run it the other way down under the garland and then behind the books. Some day the day will come when we don't have to deal with cords...everything will be battery or other powered. That will be fine with me....I hate them!

That's what you were doing when the boys were gone, huh? Beautiful!!! I love your home, and you do such a great job of decorating it.
How come Jorja didn't run when she saw you with the camera? (I think she is the one that was camera shy when I was taking a picture in your RV).
You won't believe what a mess I have going on here. Got the tree up but not happy with it.
My son and d.i.l. were driving home from Disneyland yesterday and they said it rained all the way to Vegas. You definitely need it. We got snow last night...we don't need it. lol.
