Happy Saturday!

Happy Saturday! I'm going to a baby shower! My niece's! It's the first baby in my sister's family - the Pollock/House families, and for me it's the first little girl born on either side of mine/my husband's family since her Mommy was born 28 years ago! VERY FUN! (my poor mother-in-law! ALL GRANDSONS!) hehehe. Love them too! But there is just something about a little girl . . .

So we're loading up the truck and making the 1 1/2 hour drive.
I'm so excited. OMG I just cannot tell you!

Here just a little of what we are spoiling her with . . .
I mean COME ON! Is she going to be the princess or what? :)

LOTS of pink!

My nieces Heather and Jessica asked me to make the guest book
for the shower. But NO PINK!!!!! And "not too fru-fru Auntie,
this is a coed shower and there will be guys there too."
Well . . . I tried - honest I did. But how can you
make a book for a little girl's baby shower without fru-fru?
The girls sent me the picture from the invitation and I used that for the cover.
Colors are yellow and deep purple.

I tell ya, I had more fun making this book.
The girls sent me a list of some questions they wanted asked.
And they wanted it kind of contemporary -
they described it as "yearbook style".

Okkkkaaaaaaaayyyyyy . . . hmmmmm.
So I started each question with a capital letter,
and throughout the pages, they spell the baby's name.
She is named after both of my parents.
My Dad's middle name and my Mom's middle name.
Golly I wish they could see her . . .

Anyway - just had to share a little of this special project with you.

And now we're off to the beach! And it's supposed to rain all day!
That's OK, we'll "BaBy Q" in the rain anyway!!

Oh Karen Sweetie...
Happy Pink Saturday and is this baby girl gonna be spoiled stinkin rotten or what? Yep, I would say so. You got so many cute things for her. She is going to be the best dressed little gal for miles around.

Sweetie I have got to tell you what a beautiful job you did on this guest book. It is just precious. I love the yellow and purple together. How precious to combine the two names to make 1 for a very special little gal. Awesome job Karen. Just so YOU.

Thank you for sharing. I can see you hopping into that little red car and hitting the road again. You my friend are a busy bee. Have a safe trip, take lots of pictures. We can't wait to see them.

Country hugs sweetie and so much love...Sherry

How wonderful! Isn't it fun to play with pink after years of blue?? I have 2 sons, and 3 nephews, so my parents have 5 grandsons and no granddaughters...oh well! Maybe I will have a granddaughter someday and boy oh boy will that pink make a debut in my house too! Great job on that book, and there's never too much pink in a girl's life!!

OMG Karen, this is so wonderful. I am so happy for you to be able to enjoy a baby girl in the family. We don't have baby showers in Belgium but I wish I would have had an aunt like you when my babies were born...

oooo, you need to take him by the Tuff Shed dealers, they have cute little cottages that are made for backyards...and they come build it there or just delivere it to you...oh I hope you get one. we were going to go with a tuff shed but our friend in contruction was doing alot of side jobs because of him not being busy.
