Scary morning . . .

We love them so much and when we come within a fraction of a second of losing them, we almost have a heart attack! That happened to me this morning.
I took BOTH dogs to the Vet - together - for shots and check-ups. BAD IDEA!  Had them at the front door and almost had the door closed when Jorja walked in - realized where she was and went ballistic. Pulled right out of her collar and took off running! SCARED ME TO DEATH! Fortunately she ran back towards the rear parking lot where I had parked and not out toward the busy street! I threw Harley in the office. slammed the door and took off after her and found her two cars away from mine. I just calmly walked to my car, opened the door and said "Come on - let's go see Mark" and THANK GOD she ran over  and jumped right in.
(BIG FROWN!) I am so mad at her right now!
Even if she is our Princess dog.

This was taken back in the days when Harley didn't eat her bows.
Now? Not a chance of one staying in more than 15 seconds.

Well, all's well that end's well. And this definitely ended well. Whew!

Just because it's only 11:00 am here, isn't it five o'clock somewhere? Please?

I hate that panick-y sick feeling in the pit of your stomach when something like that happen. I am quite impressed with your quick thinking and running skills.:)

Oh Karen, what a shock! Fortunaltely Jorja stopped at the parking lot! It must be really frightened for her to see the vet. Poor little thing but it's understandable that you are mad at her!
It's definitely five o'clock somewhere but are you sure you want a margarita right now ;-)!
Big hugs,

I always say the trips to the vet count as my aerobic workout for the day : )

Glad everything turned out well...they can make you so angry one minute and then in the next instant be so sweet you forget you were ever mad.

Have a great weekend!

I'm so glad you were able to get her before something bad happened. The same thing happened to me with one of my dogs at a boarding kennel. Very scary. None of my dogs have ever known what a car is.

Hey...indulge. It's Friday! ;-)

so glad she is ok. You've had quite the week girlfriend. Can I tell you mine? I had a family threaten the social worker and I had to file a police report. It's a yucky situation, and I am feeling stressed! Here's to that Margarita! And a happy week-end,

Karen, sounds like the dogs gave you your exercise this morning. What a scare. I hope you have a good trip in the morning and find the clock is just perfect for you. I also really hope there's a Starbuck's every 5 miles. Have fun. Hugs, Marty

I'm glad the little cutie pie is ok.
Vet day is always tough. I have two kitties and they hate it. One kittie nearly has a a heart-attack.
Poor baby.

Glad she came right back to the car.

Oh my gosh, how scary. This has happened to me before and when they decide to spring away they go. I am so happy to hear it ended well and can understand why you are not happy with the moment. But she sure is a sweetie.

I'm online! For Real!!! :)
I can read your horror Karen...I would have died if something would have happened to would have killed you. I'm so happy that Jorga had a good ending to her day afterall...and so did you. tell me truth...did 5 o'clock come early for you today? haha

I really appreciate you telling about Theresa...thank you. I'll certainly add them to my prayers.

Oh that is so frightening isn't it? I am so glad that it did end well. That happened to me when I took my old cocker spanial to the groomer once. She hated going to the groomer and she got away from me and into the street. I though I wouldn't ever see her alive again, but she lived another six years even in spite of all the appointments at the hairdresser.

SOOOO glad it turned out alright. Those dogs are our babies, and sometimes they just act like children! Big Whew! Take care!

Thank God she's allright Karen! My Gizzy once slipped out of his collar while walking on a busy street & it's been harnesses for all the puppies ever since. I don't mean to lecture you but small dogs really need harnesses anyway as their tracheas can be delicate & can collapse.

I'm jealous of your thrifting back has been out & I haven't been able to go. :o( But if it you makes you feel any better, GW is sometimes the highlight of my day too. LOL

That is scary!!! Jorja is no dummy, she knew she didn't want to go to the doctor, and figured out the perfect way to tell you.
How can anyone resist that adorable face in the picture? Too cute.
So did she get her shots anyway?

no kidding Karen...that would have scared me so bad

That was a scary moment, indeed. I've had that happen with Molly, when she was younger!

Oh gosh, Karen! I'm so glad that it ended well! How scary though!

So glad she didn't get in the street! Might want to invest in a harness for the next visit. Or how about one (ok, two) of those darling dog purses. Your babies are small enough aren't they? You would be adorable with a dog over each shoulder!

Oh those terrible moments of panick!!! But I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one with a crazy dog...
