Happy and Sad . . .

Happy? Because I got two very fun gifts in the mail from two of my new Bloggerette Sisters.
Sad? Two reasons. We are leaving today and I realized I won't have internet access.
First - I'm sad because I can't join Marty's Cloche Party on Friday. And I missed her last one because my niece had her baby . . . sigh.

But I am going to share with you my most special cloche.
Marty made me this pincushion last year.
She filled it with beautiful hat pins she made herself.
Sigh. It is so pretty.
It has a place of honor next to my sewing machine.
And appropriately - I placed it in a cloche.
Along with some very old chandelier bling
Jodie and I found in Savannah
on our FUN day of antiquing.
No ribbons or anything to take away
from the beautiful piece inside.
These are the "bling". They are ceramic roses
 below beautiful old crystals.
I thought they went perfect with the
gold and white saucer Marty placed my pin cushion on.

And second . . . Cassandra is having her Bloggerette Tutorial and I have to WAIT UNTIL NEXT TUESDAY to see it! UGH!
Go on - all of you have fun without me . . . (pout) :(

Anyway - on to the happy part. :)

I was THRILLED when - at our Sorority Rush party -
Jody from Home and Heart and
Diane from Petticoat Junction
honored me by sending ME
their very special creations!

Jody sent me a beautiful brooch.  Sigh.
It came wrapped so pretty!
It had a beautiful hat pin that she made . . .
and a charm and key . . .
and she pinned it to this pretty little tag.
Soooooo pretty!
Oh I just LOVE it! I will wear it with pride!
Thank you Jody!  :)
Then I got a big surprise from Diane at Petticoat Junction.
This pillow is just YUMMY!
Look at the detail!
I love all the little buttons and bows and laces!
But there's more . . . TOO FLIPPIN' CUTE!
Inside this fabric wrapped package is all this!

Four linen napkins . . .
A beautiful old page from a Hymnal -
A pretty bird printed on fabric.
I don't know if I'll ever be able to use her.
I have a tendency to hoard you know
(shhhhhh . . . . don't tell anyone)

A very sweet "Marie" card with a sweet message from Jody.
I do believe this is my very first piece of "Marie" anything!
(uh-oh!) :)

And this adorable little envelope full of . . .

I never dreamed these two generous women would do anything like this. My goodness.  BUT IT IS SO COOL! :) How could I not be thrilled?

Well anyway - just had to share . . .  I need to go pack up the coach as we are getting ready to leave. We don't normally do the beach camping . . . but we are off to enjoy the cooler temperatures. I'm sooooo looking forward to my "down time".

Ever heard of the Zach Brown Band? Here's my version.

"I got my 'rear' in a beach chair,
toes in the surf and sand,
not a worry in the world,
a glass of wine in my hand . . .
life is good today.
Life is good today!"

Have a wonderful weekend without me! Love you all!

I have no idea what I'm supposed to be doing, should have done or if you have thrown me out yet. I got home a few days ago...I'm still dragging a bit, but I'm working on getting back to my normal routine. Have a fun trip!
