Finally for today -
I am PROUD to share with you that
Monday is our
30th Wedding Anniversary!
THIRTY YEARS! Holy cow!
Now normally we go here - every anniversary.
Emma Wood State Beach.
No hook-ups. Just a torn up slab of asphalt.
And we love it. You cannot get any closer to the
ocean unless you are in it! This is me 2 years ago.
And yes, that is the coach right there.
I am standing in our campsite.
Campfires every night . . .
great bottle of wine . . .
listening to the surf . . .
looking at the zillions of stars . . .
waking up to this view . . .
Not too shabby!
But, since this is a SPECIAL year, we are going to go up there to Ventura, but not take the coach. Mark has rented a SUITE at the hotel where our favorite restaurant is a few miles up the coast from Emma Wood and we are staying there for a few days. Yes, we'll still be right on the beach. Pretty fun huh?
(Remember when we went to Paso Robles last May. Well - I SPLURGED and bought a $100 bottle of wine just for our anniversary! CAN'T WAIT to open it!)
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY MARK!
Who would've thought 30 years ago
that we'd be where we are today,
and have such a great marriage
and such awesome kids?
Here's to the next 30! Love you!
Happy day everyone! And yes, these were the songs from our wedding. I HAD to have them on today's post. :)
