He's gone.
The one who just cracks me up.
The one who I worry about the most.
He who adores his grandparents and little cousins.
The middle of the night kitchen messer-upper.
The ultimate bathroom slob.
(Only Justin can fly fish with a beer in his mouth...)
My friend. My son. Justin.

And I am not embarrassed to say that I am looking at his bedroom thinking "this is wasted real estate!".

Well, they usually come back at least two or three times! I would suggest you get that room all frilled up and I'll get Marc to get my suitcase out of the attic:) hehe

You will probably see him more now than when he lived there! Where is he going? Love you bunches!

LOL! I've heard the cure for empty nest syndrome is a gallon of paint and a trip to Target.

I am still sad, I would LOVE him back. But grateful to GOD for giving him a good brain to succeed in Life. I re-did his room, makes me to sad to leave it the same.

Hi Karen, I can imagine that you are sad but I'm sure Justin will visit you often. Now see the positive side of an additional room: You can store more stuff you find at flea markets and Goodwill stores :-).
Sending big hugs your way,

Well there you are Karen!
I about fell off my computer chair when I saw this post! LOL.
What a handsome son you have my dear! Empty nests are hard but I am sure you will manage! LOL.
He reminds me of my daughter Katie, the fun loving kind, the kind you do worry about the most!
Oh and thank-you so very much for the birthday card too!
I will let you know if I can make it out in October, sure would love to see you!
Big Hugs,

WOW! He is soooooooooooo handsome! I bet you'll miss him but, not the mess. It's OK... he still loves a Mom & he'll be back to visit. I know this as I have 2 who show up regularly. Hope you can surprise us at dinner tonight. HUGS! Charlene

You scared me! When you said Gone, I thought you meant gone-gone. Gone Forever Gone. He only moved out?! When you put it in perspective, you're a very lucky gal!

I felt lost when my children left. I know you miss your son.
and I'm not helping much by saying it is sad. At least they can call and know we are there when they need us. I am thankful for that.

Now that is one good-looking guy! Bet the girls go crazy over him. When my son went to college, I thought my heart would break. However, life goes on and we have to let them spread their wings. In fact, there are great things about an empty nest. My son came home to live for 6 weeks at one point after college. After a few weeks we both knew it was time for him to find his own place. I'm blessed though because he and his family live just two blocks over:) Now I can have grandkids whenever I want!

Oh, yuck. I hate it when they leave! My oldest daughter's been gone for almost four years now--college...I STILL hate walking by her empty room (and still feel guilty every time I think it would make a PERFECT craft room!)

Hope you feel better soon, dear friend...enjoy the holiday!
