WITHOUT FURTHER ADO...

Here they are.
The pictures of the house.
Finally!
(But wait'll you see the end...)

Come on in...
(Entry - paint on walls, ceiling and stair trim.)
To the right as you walk in the
front doors is the staircase.
I am still looking for a special piece
of furniture to put here.
But for now...these will do...

To the left is the living room.
(Paint, drapes, reupholstery and accent pieces)

And straight ahead is the dining room.
(painted ceiling, back wall of built-ins, drapes and  hardwood flooring)
I love how the color just made the cabinets pop.
And I can't tell you how tickled I am
to see a WHITE ceiling.
Down the downstairs hall is Mark's office.
(Hall paint, and hardwood floor covering in the office)
Back to the staircase landing...
(staircase - paint, stencil on walls and carpet)
The large niche area at middle landing.
This continues to be a work in progress...But
I LOVE the pieces that I have found!
Looking down at the living room
from the upstairs landing...
These bookcases were one of the first
things we added when we bought this house.
Along with the built-in hutches
down in the dining room.
Straight ahead the master bedroom.
(Master bedroom - carpet and decluttering!)

Back out to the landing and hang a left.
(My office area - paint and laminate flooring)
(My craftroom - laminate flooring, new table and PURGING!)
Turn right down the short hall to the guest rooms.
(the laminate continues... I LOVE IT!)
Left - first guest room (Justin's)
(Carpet, paint, TV - left to do? NEW CEILING FAN!)
 2nd guest room (Brandon's)
(just cleaned out! Still need to SHOP!)
And in between on the right - the guest bath.
(paint, decor and linens)

You still with me? GOOD!
Well, guess what?
Remember this?
The leaky roof which started this whole thing?
Guess what?
It's Baaaaaack!
Sigh. Nothing is ever easy...

HUGS TO ALL!

Everything is perfectly "you"!

We built a new house and the roof leaked for 15 years! We tried everything and I think finally fixed it when the roof was replaced just prior to selling it. It made me crazy, so I know how you feel. I hope you get the roof thing sorted out soon.

OMG! Karen, that is quite the redo!

I really love the colors you've used in your entry, living room and dining room. Beautiful! And your dining room looks so pretty and light. The white ceiling really changed it.

I don't know that I've ever seen your master bedroom before....OMG! Gorgeous!

I'm happy to see that you got a guest room done, now I'll have a place to stay when I come hang out in that gorgeous palace of yours. LOL

Your studio looks really pretty! I love the light walls, it really makes it looks bigger.

Beautiful job!!

Everything looks great, love that blue! I just battled a leaky roof too. Replaced the roof, added TONS of caulking, it's all sealed... but more leaks. Just figured out it wasn't JUST the roof, the master bath shower is also leaking. Sigh, next project...

Hi Karen, Wow, I had thought you'd do only the living room and the entry but now it seems you've renovated almost every room. The beige and the light teal color look just great together. You must have been excited when you put all the furniture back in and decorated everything. What a shame that the leak is back.
Have a great week and enjoy your new home :-)!
Hugs to you,
Julia

I think I'll just stay here and gaze, amazing what a different floor covering can do. We finally had a new roof on the kitchen this week, I've been cooking with water leaking on my head for over a year... they kept trying to fix it and the leak returned every time, hope you find a solution too.

Karen- it is absolutely wonderful!!! All the rooms flow so fantastic with the paint unifying the rooms. The flooring is so pretty too and all the wonderful Karen touches-- I know you much be enjoying your "new" house so much!

Wish mine was looking as well! The outside progress goes slow as we are doing it our self and son had to go back home for a few weeks. With the weather coming I am not sure just what kind of progress we will make but I am glad at least it is started which means at some point it will get done!

Your home is going to be beautiful for the holidays! Can't wait to see how you will decorate this year!
