Straight Up - Sorority Straight talk

I'm kind of sad because
Karen is kind of sad.
Yeah, she needs to talk to all of you
Sorority Sisters about something.

Hello all.

I know - it's been forever since I posted last. Lots of working and lots on my mind.

I'm thinking of passing the torch for the Sorority if someone else would like to take over. Going back to work for double the hours I used to work has really taken most of my free time and, as you can tell by my lack of posts that I have been neglecting my blog something awful. I am so sorry.

If anyone is interested - please let me know. I'm not exactly sure how we would do it - any ideas out there - please share! When I started this - I NEVER DREAMED it would become so large. And when I neglect it I feel so bad. Like I am letting all of you down.

I'm leaving off today with a picture "straight up" in our back yard. We had a BIG storm here Sunday night and it has been so flippin' gorgeous here so far this week, it is amazing. So here's the view!

This should be fun and there are enough things in life to feel guilty abt that this shouldn't be one of them. Take care of yourself!

No stress, my friend! I'm not in a position to take it right now, but I'm sure someone will!

I think we all get overwhelmed with our responsiblities sometimes, and like Jo said above me...this is for fun! You pulled a bunch of women together--that's a huge thing!

Thanks for all you do, rest easy, and it will be just fine!

I echo the sentiments of all before me who have said, "please don't feel stress or guilt over this!"

I'm sure someone will pick up the torch, but even if they don't - - - the list is still here and we can connect with each other as we choose.

Thanks for doing this at all - - - it is more than I have done!

Oh, Karen, don't be stressed over your blog. You haven't let anyone down. You just do what you need to do. We're here for you and when you can poke your tiny head in and say hi!
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)

Oh my goodness, you've done all the work that neeeded to happen to get this up and running and now you've earned a rest! There isn't anyone out here with a blog of her own who doesn't totally understand that sometimes real life gets in the way of our "virtual" lives.
and that's totally the way it needs to be sometimes. Be kind to yourself, Karen!

I have missed your posts but it is certainly understandable. LIFE has a way of stepping in and taking over! Please don't stress over the sorority. If someone takes it over, that's great...if not, so what? We'll all still go on blogging and enjoying sharing with each other. Blogging shouldn't be stressful or cause us to should be fun and a release from the everyday pressures we all encounter. So do what you need to do for YOU and your family. We'll all still love you!

I've missed your posts sweet friend, sorry to hear that you're working so much! Ick! Give yourself a break...sip a glass of wine and relax, you deserve it.

You've started an amazing thing with the sorority, and wow! has it gotten big. Pat yourself on the back for a job well done.

NOT to worry. My suggestion is to just let it be & leave the names there. Do something once a quarter or something like that & let those who want to do things amoungst themselves. Just enjoy your blog & do it when YOU want to. Although, I do hate it when my friends stop blogging altogether because I miss them. This is such a good way to keep up with others. Facebook is NOT the same. If you miss some post on facebook... it's over & other stuff/other post cover it up. With a blog you visit one person & it's a one on one time to catch up with that one person (although 30 people do the same thing...) I think it developes BETTER relationships. Just think you should let the idea simmer for awhile cut it back & ENJOY THE PROCESS!!!!!!!!!! THIS IS NOT SOMETHING TO HAVE STRESS OVER!!!!!!!! There are enough other things out there for that! HUGS!

Oh Karen, Working double the hours sounds pretty stressful. I'm sorry to hear that your free time is so limited. Hopefully you'll find someone to take over the sorority duties and and I hope that you'll find some time to have some fun in your studio.
Have a relaxed Sunday :-)!

Hi Karen,
I've been missing you girl! It looks like you may have found some that are interested in taking over. I know how stressful these things can be.
On the bright side, we got the storm of the century yesterday and I have some amazing snow pics! Come by if you can.
Is the weekend in AZ. still on? I need to know is it before or after Martin Luther Kings b-day? His holiday falls on the 18th of Jan. I am assuming you mean the weekend following. Let me know as I need to buy tickets soon!
Hugs FRiend,

Bless your heart. I know how you feel! I get so used to my summers off, that when I go back to work, I get totally behind on my blog. Wow! It did get huge didn't it! I hope you will find someone to take over, and don't you fret anymore about it. You can do only what you can do. Love ya!

Hey sweet Karen,

Please don't feel a bit guilty. It's certainly much too much for one person to handle alone. I'm amazed at how you've accomplished so much for the Sorority and how you've continued your own blogspot that we all love.

Could someone create a 'Soroity Sister Sharing Blog' for all of us keep us to be touch with one another? A communicating tool to support one another and share the seasons of our lives in words and photos. There wouldn't be one person in charge...we would all be. Just a thought. Maybe the above idea will help someone come up with a better one.

Karen, you are a VERY hard act to follow and have done an amazing job. The love you give is genuine all the way around. THANK YOU!!!

Most important as Jo said 'Take care of yourself!'

On one blog I follow, the lady will put up a post that reads...'Light blogging...I am taking some time off to take care of important things'. I smile and respect her. Words of wisdom. Smart lady...YES!

Big hug with lots of concern & care for you. Smile girl friend you are so loved.

Sweetie, don't stress. Blogging is a hobby for all of us and when we get bogged down in other areas of life, we just simply take a break.

Looks like you have a few that would like to carry on what you started. Let them ...and just take a deep breath and blog only when you feel like it.

hugs, bj

I'd love to have a hand it keeping it running but I don't think I have what it takes to take the reins completely. Maybe a group of us could get together??
