Where Do You Wrap?

Normally this is my guest room.
I have to laugh.
The room was clean . . .
and within 20 minutes -
a tornado hit.
All the boxes full of supplies
lugged up the stairs . . .
full of bags, boxes and tissue.
Lids off - ready for action!
Trash bag open and at the ready.
I set up an extra table I have . . .
I used to use my ironing board.
Tape, scissors, pens and tags . . .
Ribbon right behind me
(note to self -
I do not need any more ribbon!)
I also don't need any more bags, but . . .
can you guess who this one is for?
It was a mandatory purchase!
Well I for one, was starting
to feel a little bit of the crunch time.
Christmas is next week after all!
So yesterday I hit the road running!
Now I just have to wrap -
finish my cards -
and wait for the mail orders!

While I was out shopping yesterday
I picked up a few things that
I didn't need
but bought anyway (hehehe).
Love these big blocks -
 And this big wooden card

 I found the prettiest
glass candy garland
for my kitchen Christmas Tree.
(Yes, Marty and CeeKay -
I took you to this store.)
I think it added just the
right amount of BLING! :)
And finally - I  felt like making
something newJust little
hanging pieces I put on the
hutch in the downstairs hallway.
I love the old Vintage Photos.

 I had fun creating these!

So that's where I wrap, and what I've been up to.

Where do you wrap?

Have a wonderful week everyone!

I've never seen so much ribbon...your presents must look gorgeous!! I like to wrap at the bar in my kitchen. I can listen to music and cook at the same time!

I wrap in the dining room once I clear off the table! I haven't completely finished shopping yet as the gifts I had planned to give my neice and nephew are very expensive to ship and well, they aren't going. So now I have to pick up something else and mail them this week for them. My goal is friday to be done. I didn't wrap my students gifts because I am out of wrapping paper. Hope your day is good!

I just found your blog and love it! I wrap in my craft room but the stuff spreads everywhere. I noticed the ovarian cancer graphic on your blog...was glad to see that...I recently lost a sister to OC and know how important spreading the word to other women is. I plan to follow your blog and check back often...Merry Christmas and Happy Blogging!

You are one organized woman, Karen! I usually wrap in my "sitting room" as we call it...I can close the double doors and everyone knows NOT to go in there!

Love your newly purchased finds...and especially your new creations...beautiful!

Have a wonderful day, my friend!

I usually wrap on my dining rm table. It is the biggest flat surface and for some reason the dining rm is my go to room
I had to have one when we bought our house if it didn't have one it would've been a deal breaker

LOL, you could have knocked me down with a feather when I saw your boxes full of ribbons! I don't think you'll ever need to buy ribbons again.
Your wall hangings are beautiful. I love the vintage images, I could never get fed up with them.
As to wrapping presents...... Ah. Errrmmm. If I clear the table in the dining room off all the recent finds which haven't found a home anywhere else yet, then I might have space to wrap pressies. Gosh, here is a thought, we might actually get to eat at the dining table again, rofl, instead of at the kitchen table!

gosh thats so organised. I love to hate giftwarpping. I wait until I am in the mood and when the mood strikes I usually realise I have no wrapping paper tape or ribbon so dash off to our local. THen I do it on the living room floor as there is more space and end up with a bad back. Will I ever learn? I love those wall hangings. Hugs Sara

Let's see, I started out wrapping in my den, then moved to the dining room, hallway and NOW I have moved my wrapping stuff upstairs! Yours is SO organized:) I knew it would be! I have just a few more to wrap and perhaps one more trip to the Mall for small stuff! Marc and I aren't giving each other gifts this year and taking a trip:) Works for me! I truly couldn't come up with a thing I wanted! Love you my friend! HUGS!

Well, I keep all the purchases in my guest room...and the wrapping paper, ribbon etc. when I am not wrapping. BUT...when I wrap...I sit in the middle of the living room floor. I surround myself with all the "stuff" and mass wrap until I'm done. Thankfully, that process is behind me, I'm wrapped and ready!

No matter where I intend to wrap I always end up on the living room floor. I would love to have a room with enough space, but that room is where I keep the presents, so I have to work myself down to the table. Your have such a flair for decorating. Thanx for the inspiration!

Actually I haven't wrapped for a couple of years. The grandkids are old enough that they just want $$. This year I'm making Christmas crackers to put that in - out in my studio. But in the past I've usually wrapped on my diningroom table. Wow girl, do you ever have the supplies for wrapping! LOL Your glass candy garland is beautiful. Merry Christmas!

Hey Karen,
I think the guest room looks so nice and cozy!
And warm! I need warm right now. Our air temp hit a low of -20 today. I am literally chilled to the bone!
I love your new candy garland, so pretty!
And you have the best supply of ribbons and wrap ever!
If I can ever get rid of my frostbite I am going to start wrapping myself!
Your presents must look just stunning!
Big Hugs,

That's quite a setup you've got there, Girl! LOL!
PS I hope you are feeling better and not stressing with all the Bloggerette stuff. Just do what YOU want to do, when YOU want to do it. We'll be pleased as punch whatever that is. :)

I'm agog with admiration! Just look at all those boxes of ribbons and bags and... So organised! (You're going to deny it, aren't you?).
I wrap in the spare bedroom as well. Unfortunately, last minute wrapping means I'm still clearing up when my guest arrive - and it's their room! xx

I love how you wrap it up Karen! Thank you again for sharing and inspiring. Our present bows are kept in a bag and I have the hardest time finding the one I'm looking for...I will use a clear view container like you do & not have a headache.

My sister Mary gave me the tip that the 'presentation' is the most important part of the gift giving. She is an artist and uses her imagination galore. I always think of her when I'm wrapping. I even have a special box of fun stuff to top it all off with.

This year I have bunches of differend doll house furniture that I picked up for the grand daughters 'like new' but not new. My daughter in law is thrilled...she ask me to wrap each one up separately...for the fun will be spread between all of the girls. I'm planning to do so...

Karen...sharing your Christmas has been the biggest blessing to me and so many others.

Heartfelt thanks.

I wrap at the dining room table mostly, until it get sso full then I move to the floor.....I have way too much paper and am kind of sick of it...in fact one roll I finished up today was Hallmark and it said 1993 on it...yikes, thats 17 years Ihave had it...it was an anitque...LOL....that made me take about 35 rolls to the Goodwill...leaving me witha bout 75 rolls left.....oh my!!!

I think the Note to Self is correct... No need for more ribbon! You have that gift wrapping station perfect! Good luck. I did my whole tree in candy theme this year & decided to not put up the tree in the kitchen. Hope you'll stop by I've just started posting about my decor for the year. And check out Hubby's Christmas gift (post Dec 12). HUGS!

Like you, I use a spare bedroom. But I don't have a table...I sit on the floor!!! Like you, I don't need to buy anymore ribbon or bags...but sometimes I can't resist! Funny thing is, I buy cute bags and then don't want to give them away! Now what in the world would I keep them for??? Your new creations are lovely...just like you! Merry Christmas.

I wrap on my bedroom floor, but I am not nearly as organized about it as you are Karen. First I do a lot of swearing, trying to remember where I stored the ribbon and tape from the previous year, then I fumble around trying to remember where I used the sissors last. I love to wrap beautiful packages, but geeesh...it's a lot of work!
I love your new finds. Especially that sweet candy garland!
I LOVE your new Christmas hanging collages. So lovely! You really ARE amazing girl!
I sure wish you were here on the sofa watching Christmas movies with me.
sending longer hugs to you too!

Cute post Karen~ I wrap on my kitchen counter or living room floor. I SHOULD wrap in my guest room because that's where I keep all my wrapping supplies. But instead I drag it out and muss up the kitchen and floor. Hope you have a Merry Christmas Karen.
